Siyabulela Zalabe
Reformed Baptist Pastor
Pastor Siyabulela Zalabe grew up in KwaZakhele Township, Port Elizabeth, where he came to know the Lord Jesus as a teenager. Before entering ministry, he worked in the retail industry and later studied at the Baptist Theological College in Johannesburg. Along the way, he served in various churches—including Birchleigh Baptist, Heritage Baptist, and Randburg Baptist—before entering full-time pastoral ministry in 2018. He served as pastor of Cambridge Baptist Church in East London from 2023 to 2026. He is currently based in East London, where he continues to preach, teach, write, and serve the local church as opportunities arise. Siyabulela is married to Naledi, and they are grateful parents of four children.
About Life & Doctrine
I am Siyabulela Zalabe, a Reformed Baptist pastor called to preach Christ and Him crucified. My heart is to see men and women come to saving faith in Jesus and to see believers grow in holiness, joy, and steadfast love for the truth.
Life and Doctrine takes its name from Paul’s charge in 1 Timothy 4:16 — “Keep a close watch on yourself and on the teaching.” True Christianity is not merely holding right beliefs but living under the transforming power of the gospel.
This site exists to call God’s people to both: faithful doctrine that exalts Christ, and faithful living that displays His grace. Through sermons, articles, and books that flow from Scripture and sound theology, I pray that hearts would be stirred to treasure the Lord Jesus above all and to walk in obedience that springs from the gospel.
